WHY SUPPORT SLOTH?

You're probably wondering why in the world I would choose to support a slimey villain like Dr. Sloth.

In real life, I don't think anyone would consider me to be villainous. I'm honest, I do my homework, and i'm responsible. But when it comes to video and computer games, I occasionally like to join the bad guys. It's just fun to me, I suppose. Anyway, in to properly explain my respect for Sloth, you'd probably need to understand how I started playing Neopets.

I first started playing Neopets in 2000. I wasn't really into it, and school was occupying most of my time, so I stopped playing after a month or two. But sometime around the summer of 2004, I decided to start playing again. I was alarmed at how big and professional Neopets.com became since I had last visited. In 2000, about 1 million people were playing Neopets. When I had returned in 2004, there were over 30 million players!

At that point, I was addicted. There were tons of cool things to do around the site, and all of the Neopets, worlds, and characters looked great. But none of them caught my attention like Dr. Sloth. I had seen some fantastic video game villains in my time; Bowser (Super Mario Bros.), Dr. Eggman(Sonic The Hedgehog), Ganondorf(Legend of Zelda), Dr. Wily(Mega Man)... But for some bizarre reason, none of them captured my imagination like Sloth did.

I suppose the main reason I like Sloth so much is because his appearance and personality contrast almost perfectly with the cute, cuddly Neopets of Neopia. I'm also a fan of "spacey" things and science fiction. And, of course, I find sometimes that being a villain is a lot more fun than being a hero. I mean, you get to plan all sorts of diabolical schemes, and recruit armies, and carry big, shiny weapons of doom. o_o

So now, i'm a full-time Sloth minion. I own a Sloth gallery, a whole bunch of Sloth-realated web page layouts, and of course, my awesome guild, the United Sloth Loyalists. I'm very proud of my creations, and i'm thankful for everyone who has helped me and befriended me in Neopets. Couldn't have done it without you guys. ^_^
